Also, with the development of air travel, communication, new technology, tourism has become one of the largest and fastest growing industries in the world.

Types/categories of tourism
Tourism can be categorized in many ways, but it is usually categorized on the following bases:
Based on destination
According to the destination, tourism is divided into two types, international and domestic. International tourism is divided into outbound and inbound tourism.
International tourism:
Travel or tourism that a person travels to a foreign country permanently or temporarily is called international tourism. To travel to a foreign country, a specific set of rules and regulations must be followed.
For example, when traveling to a foreign country, a tourist must use a valid passport, visa, health documents, foreign currency exchange, etc.
International tourism is divided into two types of inbound and outbound tourism.
Inbound tourism:
When tourists enter a particular country from foreign sources, it is called inbound tourism. When people travel outside their country, they are identified as inbound tourists for that country. For example, when a Nepalese tourist visits Japan, it is inbound tourism for Japan because the foreign tourist comes to Japan.
Outbound tourism:
When a tourist or traveler travels from the country of origin to another country, it is called outbound tourism. For example, when a tourist travels from Nepal to Japan, it is outbound tourism for Nepal and inbound tourism for Japan.
The two sub-categories of international tourism are different from the perspective of each country. For example, suppose Arzoo lives in Iran and David lives in Germany. From Germany’s point of view, when Arzoo travels to Germany, he is an inbound international tourist, and if David travels to Iran, he is an outbound international tourist. This example is completely opposite from Iran’s point of view. That is, if Arzoo travels to Germany, he is an outgoing international tourist, and when David travels from Germany to Iran, he is an incoming international tourist.
Based on size
Based on size, tourism is divided into the following three types:
Mass tourism:
Mass tourism occurs when a large group of people travel together to visit or travel. This type of tourism is usually done by institutions, universities, etc. for different purposes.
Controlled tourism:
Considering the size, this type of tourism is a limited number of people who travel to different types of destinations. This type of tourism mainly occurs when a family or a group of close friends travel.
Elite tourism:
This type of tourism occurs when only one person travels alone to different types of destinations. These types of tourists have an individual mentality and can be considered as mentally powerful.
Based on the goal
